IMO you're making a big mistake changing to a 28" tire. Run the numbers on your cruise rpm change and you may be shocked. I'd be thinking of going up to 32's, 33's, or even 35's.

I would think the cheapest way to gain some ponies is a cold air intake, good set of headers with 3 inch free flow exhaust. And find a company that can supply you with a custom burnt prom for the ECM/computer.

I agree with HWORRELL, and to me the choice of gears doesn't change my opinion on the tire size for your truck. Dropping down 3" in tire OD is going to look strange in the wheel wells of the truck, IMO. That said, it's your truck and only you have to like the result.

Man. I don't know the cost of any of it,just know thats your cheapest option with out doing engine mods ( SPEED COSTS,HOW FAST YA WANNA GO ?). You'll have to do the leg work yourself,Summit, Jegs or Speedway would be the best shot on the headers and cold air setups. Don't cheap out on the headers get the good ones with the thick flanges or you'll chase exhaust leaks fore ever. As far as the Prom you can just google search it.
