i still like donovan there is a guy in town that used other company someone that has not been building blocks as long as donovan. but was a good deal... not so much now if you ask him . it was a new block it was made by some one other then donovan and is on your list. they had some bad casting and did not pull them or try to track them down was not blower engine or nos . i sold my big donovan still have my small 10.200 deck 632. mark i was given out free GTO rides today. donovan 10.200 deck is about 5000. no head studs you will need there stud kit and know what heads your going to use there studs are about 400. for a set and like jerry said they come with no water 1/2 jackets and full jackets with or with out fuel pump boss. there alot of junk out there i would not wast any time with a used block less you know what your looking at .the deal with a cast block is there not as strong as a billet block and with weaker cast blocks you can still make alot of power with them. but you have to make sure it .s not had the head studs fixed or needing then fixed from the studs getting pulling out .the threads of the deck can wear out they can not be fixed easly .a used block in a hi power build can be used up or timed out . many times i seen blocks on ebay were guy will say it just needs sleeves it is very easy to spend 900.no machine work just sleeves . guy s weld all over block s there not like iron blocks abit more of a trick to weld .deal is a used aluminum block can not be good as new .the weld spot will not be as strong on the block the heat treat can not be just be put back in after welding it. maybe its ok or not. you need to know were it was fixed or needs to be fixed not a job for some one thats never fixed a busted blocks and cost can allmost put you to or past a good deal on a new or a low hour block not hurt
