just do the math----one half the stroke plus rod length plus piston ch equals the stack-----

You have got to use whatever numbers do the job--

as for the eagle cast crank strength against the GM steel crank----------cast is always weakest when compared to steel

eagle cast has a very poor history-----------

The GM forged steel cranks are some of the strongest cranks out there----------I have probably only seen one or two that were broken and that was on a 6:71 type blower engine with front blower drive--------------

i seen gm steel cranks break you say it.s a 20/20 what ? was it welded on what life did it see ? who did the work to it and did they grind the fillet radius out of the crank? then i take the crank that was not shot at a brick wall . the steel crank even 4140/5140/1053 and 4340 are much stronger if we are taking new /new over the cast steelLast edited by pat mccarthy; 04-10-2014 at 03:30 PM.
