hey guys i have a 468 with dome pistons and closed chamber heads,the cam thats in the motor has too much lift and is causing the valves to hit the pistons, anyone know how much lift i can safely run? don't want to get rid of the heads as they have had a ton of work done to them also can roller lifters be used with a flat tappet cam? thanks for any and all help

yes i know about what could fit in the engine . need to know the maker of the piston.if block was deck and were the piston is at now @TDC O in hole or out of deck .how much cut off heads.size of intake valve and intake valve drop . no you can not use a solid flat lifter cam and add roller lifters to it must be a roller cam profile ground on the cam core to run roller lifters
