BBC crankshaft flywheel pin
Hi guys,
Long time since I posted on here, I've been working on the 540 again lately....
I have a problem that started awhile back, and I need some advice.
I tried to install a pin into the end of the crankshaft to help align the flywheel to the end of the crank. What happened is the pin wasn't long enough and it got pressed into the crank snout end when I installed the flywheel and now I can not get it out.
My question is: should I leave this pin in and forget about it or remove the crank from the engine and get it removed and then install a longer pin. Is this pin even needed, or are the 6 flywheel bolts sufficient. I am expecting 650-700 horsepower and a shit load of torque. BTW it is a 1-pc seal crankshaft.
Thx so much,
Ed
on small cars yes. but fat fender cars are pretty much the same in size and weight as the donor car. i found s10 brakes work great on fat fender and pickups. a deuce will just need manual brakes...
Time for brakes
