FOR EXAMPLE.. MY 75 454 IS 8.1:1 & RATED @ 245 hp

around 250 hp

But, tons of torque.....................................

torque is everything. its the explosive force.

where hp peaks just gives you an idea of where the best torque is made.

low hp= low end torque.
mid hp = mid range torque.
high hp= high range torque.

300hp @3500rpm=450 lbft @3500 (454ci BB)
300hp @5000rpm=315 lbft @5000 (350ci SB)

same hp. but torque is what matters.
