Will I get better mileage If I switch from TBI to Carbuerator? this eng has a 700 r4 tranny behind it. and a 3.08 gear. I also need a set of Rear bumper brackets for stock bumper.
Thanks

IMO if you have your TBI tuned to optimize your A/F ratio specific to your engine you should get better performance and efficiency with TBI. If your TBI is one of the new self tune units then IMO the TBI will be more efficient with zero hassle. That 700r4 has a 0.70 OD ratio, and coupled with a 3.08 rear gear you should be pretty low rpm at cruise, depending on your rear tire diameter. Are you still up in your power band?
I know some guys who made the swap and the mileage went down. I wondered the same thing about my 90 burb. I'm going to leave it alone though.
I did not build the truck . But the timing was way off. Its now at o degrees. The rear tires are 255 /70/15. The engine is a 87 b/b. It does run very good. The truck has the orig fuel tank and the fuel gauge seem to be of quite a bit the gauge is an 87 gauge.
