    Cool 2000 454 roller cam

     



    I have a roller cam from a 2000 454, Will it fit in my 1975 454? I also have the heads and fuel inj intake will the heads bolt on also?

    yep with some work . cam will need retro rollers . push rods . 2000 timming set .you may need to drill two 5/8 water holes in the deck of the older 454 to use the new mark 6 heads and the 1037 felpro or stock mark 6 gasket .some 454 s had this done some did not .the heads you should trash the tower bolts and go back to a stud for the rockers you need the ARP #135-7102 ...3/8to 7/16 studs and older rockers or the rocker arm conversion kit 6172 that competition products sells

    If I use the the 1975 cylinder heads will the fuel injection intake work with them?

    why not use the a mark 454 6 roller engine .you could re work things to work but your going to need the pickup that reads the crank .all this money and time to mix and match parts i can sell you a fully rebuilt and machined 454 or 496 V tech roller long block i have two one 454 all machined ready to go back together or buy one from a rebuilder ?
