big block chevy heads

Hey guys, I picked up edelbrock rpm air gap manifold,now looking for a set of heads, iv looked in to tickflow,edelbrock, dart, ect and I see that some of the heads dont have a bolt hole over the center of the intake ports? am i seeing that right?

yep, your seeing that right--most race manifolds didn't have that bolt hole so the ports could be bigger there

yep like jerry said that and after milling they get thin or on and off they bust there is really on need for them bolts to seal good .so many just moved away from the top port bolt Ears

Ya edelbrock said dont torque these 4 bolts just snug them down.
