    EFI on Blown BBC

    Hi all,

The car is a 2500 lb tee bucket, fully street legal, and ran 10.2 @ 132 with the old engine.

A few years back I had a fairly stock blown BBC (627 hp at 5800 revs), a 454 cast crank, 2 bolt mains, blower cam & a set of TRW blower slugs, and a pair of alloy bowties. A 671 and a pair of 750 Edelbrocks and a decent ignition finished the package.

Thanks to a bad dyno experience I needed a new engine. So I got a used 540, a decent roller cam (with 4-7 swap) another set of bowties and fitted up the 671 and upsized to a pair of 1195 BG King Demons

Now the car has no fuel economy, (no surprise there) and its slower on the quarter mile than the old engine (big surprise there). I want to drive to the track, run easy 9s on street rubber thru the mufflers and drive home again. Yeah, its a big ask.

I think maybe less carb will help, and then thought if I was going to buy a bunch of new stuff, why not look at EFI?

So what would you suggest? Im down in New Zealand so everything wil cost me about 50% more than you guys pay (exchange rates, tax and freight)

    Thanks
    Todd
