i have ran 610+ lift with long slots . i used crane golds will clear stock covers with a thick valve cover gasket long as the valve covers have drippers if so the drippers will have to be bent or trimed i ran steel rocker every day .gm still makes them and they hold up good there is some added friction at the ball socket /fulcrum and ratio may not be a true 1.7 but they will work good. i feel they have better hold out then cheap roller rockers i really do not like the grooved balls every one thinks there better for holding oil but the groove cuts the load abilities of the ball and have seen the rocker bodys cut in to the rockers. i used to use good used stock low hp balls on the long slot rockers.
