I'm in the process of degreeing my cam.I'm using a cloyes true roller multi keyed timing set. My problem is I can't get to within one degree of the specified settings.The best I can get is either one and one half degree retarded or two degrees advanced depending on the keyway I choose.My question is, if I have to settle for one or the other what should I choose (retarded or advanced) I am assuming I will have plenty of piston to valve clearance since I recently had the piston valve reliefs cut deeper.I'm not really out for blood (street application) but I would appreciate some expert advice here.Thanks.
