have a '91 model 6.0 crank. I thought all these had forged cranks, but this does not have the "wide" marking like all other forged cranks I have seen. Could it be cast?

So what is a "91 6.0 liter Mark V???
it is a Gen V engine (6.0 liters) out of a 1991 model year pickup. ?? I am new to the BBC world. What am I missing?
6.0 liter is not right it is a 454 and no i seen very few 454 one pc seal cranks in low hp engine and cast crank will hold 500 hp looking for more is not hard to buy a better crank
this is a different engine that what is going into the camaro. My son and I went up to my dad junk lot last weekend and pulled out 6 different bbc. engines. The one I am calling a 6.0 is block and head casting numbers --- 10114183 ----10101140? Did they not make a 6.0 in 1991. It also has 6.0 cast in the outside side of the block.?
well ...... they make a 366T deck yes would be around that size . i did not look up the block number s but its a tall deck not a good builder engine .its a small bore engine good for trucks .can not be bored to any thing big big gas truck engine a long with the 427T that block can be rework to get past 520 with a thick block 540 with a 4.500 crank use a 4.750 crank 571 cid this would be max bore not sure if i would build it this big with out a 1/2 fill with block rock
I knew it was a tall deck block, but was just wondering about the crank. thought I might hang on to it if it was forged steel. The whole thing went in the scrap iron bin tonight though when we picked up in the shop. Are the late model chevy pickups and suv's, with the "6.0" engine, also a tall deck block?
all chevy pick ups used a 9.800 deck block your getting a sbc LS mix up with a 366 bbc 10.200 deck block
That head casting number is listed in AERA book as 366 gm truck, block number is listed 91-98 truck--probably was a transplant/swap into the pickup
