just looking for some valves for my 781's and i was wondering what is the advantage of 11/32 stems over 3/8.

lighter weight in the valve train...probably not an issue unless you're planning some big rpm.....Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

besides lighter weight----it makes it simple to change to bronse guides by using a thin guide-liner and then the smaller stem vale compared to reboring the guide for a 3/8 liner

my guides are already shot, so I am looking at replacing guides anyway. Correct me if I am wrong but are bbc guides not replaceable.

They are replaceable. Drop a guide once in a 427, made a hellva noise
