flexplate?????
I have a 454 in my 32. I have a a 700r4 transmisson in it. This is all in the build stage. They are mated, but I can't get a starter to fit. The engine is externally balanced. We asked the chey dealer to send us the right flexplate, instead they sent us a flywheel. What is the problem and how do I correct it.

there are two different starter ring gear confiqs on flexplates/flywheels and they take a certain type starter mounted in the correct bolt holes--aLSO YOU MAY HAVE THE FLEXPLATE MOUNTed backwards
