    What do you think about going .100 over to make a 505...will it survive ?

    yes if it is there to start with. i am guessing you have a 496 and want more? i have built the 512 cid and use a 4.3/8 crank if your worried do a short fill with block rock i had a 100 over many years ago some of the older blocks can have thicker walls but thats not always true
