Super Trap on a big block??

I am at the stage of trying to figure out what kind of exaust to run on my 454.
Would a Super Trap on the end of the collector be ok on headers?
I have seen them on motorcycles and sprint cars.
I kind of like the rattly sound.
Not looking to make max HP just have a little fun.

Super traps will work just fine in your headers, and in Ca the are approved spark arrestors as well. They also are very tunable and will make some decent HP if you play around with how many inserts you run. Give em a try the sound they produce is also tunable by adding or removing the baffles or what ever you call them little insert things.

I also would like to say I love your little Topo, and its all steele as well, VERY COOL little car. Anymore build pic's?

I had them on my 35 chevy 454 BBC. I found that they were way to restrictive. I had 2 1/2" pipe to the rear ( no muffers) and then the Supertraps. I tried them with with up to 13 baffles. Cut a hloe in the end cap. Made my own baffles. Now I just use the housing as tail pipes. Flowmaster 70 series mufflers. Much better.
