carb for a 454
hello, my friend has 454 out of an 89 chevy truck in his shoet bed chevy truck. the engine is stock except for a summit racing cam, valve springs, headers, edelbrock rpm intake and an MSD street fire distributor, he would like to know what would be a good sized carb for his engine.
thank you

For the street, I'd say an Edelbrock 750 would work well. It's a vacuum secondary 4 bbl. and will be a good match with the intake. JMO, might want to get some other input, I'm certainly not the chebbie expert around here.Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

I would have to agree with Dave, a 750 vac secondary is a good choice for that combo but i kinda like a good old holley 3310, 750 or 770 cfm.

I agree with Dave and 27tee...
750cfm will be a good size unless you're expecting high end power over 6000rpm. For street application at lower revs 750cfm with vac secondary is a good match.
