BBC water pump bypass hose and intake bolts ???

In so many BBC buildup articles in the more pop magazines the builders leave the bypass nipples and hose off the intake and Wtr pumps and they leave the upper center (VC edge side) bolts out as well, Is that reccommended for a street motor or are they just trying to save time???

well if you use a stat then you want the by pass if you use a shim then you do not need the by pass the top bolts are not needed and your intake looks like it as no place for them many of the aftermarket intakes do not have them just a good spot for the intake to crack and you can open up the port size with out a weak spot
