    I think I either wiped off a camshaft lobe or have a collapsed lifter!!!

    big blocks will wipe a flat lifter cam in a heart beat that is why i put solid roller or hyd roller cams in all the ones i build

    hmmmm... how much trouble is that compared to just replacing the stock flat/hydr lifters?

    well you can try again with so many things that are re box china parts or not knowing how good the oil is a lot of the oils have no zinc in it to help break in and not knowing how it was broke in i just build them with roller abit more money but going back thru a engine is not cheep ether .you can buy a kit for your engine to go hyd roller from any of the cam grinders
