Several months ago I aquired a 427 tall deck truck block with 4-bolt mains for $500.The block looks to be in very good shape, the only problem is in one cylinder the piston pin slid out to one side and cut a nasty groove in the side of the bore. The guy at the machineshop I use said it was no big deal to resleeve that cylinder, and it probably would only cost $40 or $50. He also said they have done the same procedure to many race engines with no problems. I am planning on trying to get a lot of power out of this thing on a future build, do you think this one cylinder could give me problems or should it hold up just fine?
