    Denny, Are you asking me or are you quizzing me? I have no idea what this little hose does, I can guess that it helps flow to the top end of the motor. This is my first BB. I don't know much about them.

    I was going to NOT run my heater core for now, maybe add it later. I do not believe my belair has a shut off valve in the heater hose. I got the car disassembled, no motor, so I will have to check out the shop manual.
