Picked this pricey water pump up on fleabay for cheap, but I think its has been altered. What do you guys think? Its a moroso aluminum for the chevy bbc. I think the holes have been drilled and tapped. The seller claims it hasn't.

Castings will usually have a boss built up for any drilling and tapping. Metal is too thin to support any fitting for a useful purpose. And what the heck was he doing with those holes?
I don't know what they were thinking. I was hoping one of the guys here might have some ideas.
Might have been used to supply water to marine exhaust manifolds(?).:rolleyes:
Doesn't look very sturdy to me.
