I have the oppurtunity to get a 502 MARK V block.  Everything I've read is not too good about this block.  My plan is to build a 540 with AFR 305's for the street.   If not - I'm going to find a donor 454 and go 496
Can I use AFR's or Edle Jr's with this Mark V ? I've read alot about the waterjacket issues.  Do aftermarket heads (aluminum) work on V's ?
What about running a stick without the bosses for the clutch stuff ?
Should I buy the block ? if its under $1000 ?
