Under my rock I keep the mini-fridge stocked up....lol. Short bursts are fine. Hang in there.
I guess the intercooler has already been brought up. I think he's crazy to not run one.
Personally I think he's expecting the moon when he can't afford the mortgage. I'm sorry but there is no magic in these type of builds. Ya wanna run big, ya gotta spend big.
UMMM,Why don't you go and read my post.Quote:

A balanced 4340 assembly JE pistons,BB-2,XTRA heads,.
This is a "Pro-Street" engine.
I would of thought the pump gas statment would have given it a way.
What part of that do you not understand???:whacked:
A Pro Street engine does not need a set of of $3600 heads or a set of $1,200 shaft mount roller rockers or a set of $800 pistons with a hyd. roller cam.
I don't think you understand what I am trying to build for my customer.
When a customer gives me a budget and I try to stay with in the budget and give him the most bang for the buck.
Erik, I'm not trying to insult you man. I have dealt with so many customers reaching for the moon and their expectations are way too high for what their willing to spend. Sorry for coming off like they all need to spend a fortune to get a good deal. I have reviewed your customers request and the components he has in the build. Seriously, the combo is enough without the blown set up to get close to what he wants. Good idea about valving changes. Cam is not going to achieve the goal with out nitrous or a big change in stepping it up. The blower sounds like it's for show only I don't wanna sound cynical, but a Pro street set up or Comp eliminator or Pro street, etc? Different animal altogether. Carbs are going to change drastically for fuel metering under a forced draw. Please go back and read my post about that. A flow bench uses natural flow conditions and unless the bench tech was planning for this, they are going to be a handful to keep the customer happy. Cam specs are ground for natural aspiration, blown specs have quicker ramps to keep the valve "on top" of the piston as much as possible during piston travel and crank roatation. Shorter overlap, differently placed lobe centers as to application, etc. You've got some good pieces to work with, just some changes need to occur to effectively make things work right. That was all was putting across so the customer needs to get a new perspective. I in no way wanted to offend you. I have a phobia about busting my hump and the client is not seeing what he has and what he wants. Sorry dude, I want your projects to go well as I want mine.
Another note, since I am not one of the respected posters here yet. I am working with Valero and Excel corporations on fuel add packs and some their Hydrogen facilities in Oklahoma and Colorado. I have extensive developmental experience in "pump" gas that we all buy and have to run. As you all well know our gas at the pump "suks" and to achieve a lot of goals with our builds, we struggle to manage the performance levels of our cars and our clients cars. So when I go off on a rant, I mean no harm rather I want the best possible solution for what is being put on the road for all of you guys and gals. I want nothing but power and success for all enthusiast out there.
Thanks Denny...I feel egos can be tripped upon (especially mine) and I don't want friction, just good builds and realistic expectations. Anything can be accomplished if we're all open minded.
By the way, Your pics and posts have been exactly what a lot of the people are searching for. Did I mention the pics????.......LOL. Great work.
I was considering which motor to put in my limo and with gas being 3 dollars a gallon, I was leaning towards an investment in hay for it. I have a couple of sons that need more practice with a shovel to keep up with the "waste" that it will produce.
Simmer down there.Quote:
