And that is why I still spend the Big Bucks and run my five speeds!!!!!!:LOL: :LOL: :LOL: Seems I end up money ahead.....and get the fun of pulling that handle and having such great selection of gear ratio's carefully chosen to compliment the performance charachteristics of the engine.... Now if I can get Gear Vendors to put one of their units on the back of a TKO 600, life for me and my 9 speed will be absolutely perfect!!!!!!!!:whacked:
if they made a stick trans that would hold up to one of my Big big blocks. i would have one but a lenco is where i can not go $$ the 400 trans i have is still cheaper with all hard core parts still less that $4000.with the stall. the stall was 1200.:whacked:
I've seen some used 3 and 4 speed Lenco's showing up on the market in the $2500 to $3500 range.... I've switched to the McLeod Soft-Lok clutches, a bit on the spendy side but they have an extra set of springs and are very adjustable. They are designed to elimiate some of the driveline shock inherent with manual transmissions. Put one in a buddies car last summer, seemed to help on the 60' times, too!!!!

yes that s would be that i would want is a soft- lok did some work on my customer put in a lenco 5speed and is co2 shift liberty. i like to pull gears.
