Big block into a 41 Chevy pickup...

    Hi,

I'm new to this forum from Gosford in Australia. I am looking at putting a 396 Big Block into my 41 Chevy pickup. I already have a turbo400 with a hi stall converter. What I was wondering is will the T400 bolt straight up to the 396 and also using the same torque converter. They were last used on a 350 Small Block.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Kind regards,
    Ozzy41Pickup

If you have a TH400 that was bolted up to a 350, yes it will bolt to the 396 as well. The TH400's that won't are the Buick/Olds/Pontiac bell housings.
