In the magazines, all the trick of the month club goodies look great...and others will say they free up XX horsepower. But in the real world things like electric water pumps belong on the drag strip, not on a street car. Sure would be a bummer on a nice Sunday afternoon cruise up 169 to the cities to wind up on the side of the road with a $300.00 electric water pump or fuel pump that can't even be replaced till the stores open on Monday!!! (And then maybe wait 4 or 5 more days because the store doesn't stock them and has to order your part) A standard water pump or mechanical fuel pump can be replaced on the side of the road with parts that are readily available.... If you really want one, I have a pretty near new one in my junk---er, parts department that another guy took off in disgust and bought a mechanical one. It's in there beside a few gear timing sets and MSD boxes and other useless crap.
