When compared to manley race flows wich ones are undercut the most...i looked at a set of manley at summit the other day and didnt like the way the undercut area looked...As if it wasnt thin enough..Ive used ferrea's on my small blocks and they seemd to be undercut pretty good...This is the first time ive looked at a big block valve though...Genersal opinions on valve brands is welcomed

if this worries you go with a 11/32 stem i have not use manleys valves in a long time the pro flow are the cut down stem the extreme duty are not cut down his much i have used a lot of diffrent brand names alot of them are reboxed and the same valves
Well as for the guides i went the cheapo 3/8 route...I didnt want to get all crazy with them...I couldnt see spending more than 750 for the guides, milling, and valva job with the larger valves...I plan on getting some better heads later on anyways..Hopefully as long as something doesnt come up i will have the cash this friday...Im gonna go to my local supplier and compare both...
I hope the ferreas are necked down more so they help with the flow..I got my electric grinder today so i will teardrop the guides and clean up some of that nasty casting flash and ridges in the ports...Maybe work the roof a little but other than that im gonna play it cool..Unless you guys can show me some pics and give pointers...
well i do not think 11/32 stems are crazy if you are worry about the valves not stem down this fixes this. i have the ferrea 2.250 in think 2000 pros and they are stem down . but not any more than any thing i have seen. i do alot of dart big block head s with 11/32 valves in them and they are all about the same. just watch out on the cutting on the guides boss on the ex side the guides seats in the head it is wet guide so do not cut to much out around the guide this is were it seats in the head
