timing set is the same oilpump drive the same . but what you use the tall deck for is more cid longer rods keeps the stroke from hitting the pistons when they come a round the crank and the tall deck helps with the piston pin location in the pistons too .the intake will need to for a tall deck or spacers and custom push rods to there is many thing that i would go over but this is the basic stuff there is blocks taller than 10.200 and hi cam blocks to for 700 + engine too but the gm is 10.200 and you can get 468 to650 with the right 10.200 block bigger than this you would need a taller block and a hi cam block
Thanks Pat. I want to use a big block with a blower & I noticed that you can get more cubes & still have a low compression ratio... And, of course, isn't more better???? Money wise it seems as if it doesn't cost that much more...... But then again, I'm just obsessing on HP. Thanks again, Bill
