I am currently building a 454 chevy big block with a forged crank, h beam rods, forged pistons, roller rockers, hydraulic roller cam with about 5.70 lift, 8.0:1 flatop compression, large oval port heads w/ 2.19 valves, 8-71 weiand blower running about 8lbs of boost. This will be in a 70 chevy nova. It will be used for street and some strip use. Any suggestions on what size carbs to use? Also, is there a formula for carb sizing with forced induction? Thanks!! !Supernova!

 Blown CFM=(CID x RPM) / 3456 x (BOOST / 14.7) +1

 454 x 6,000 / 3456 =788.19

 8 / 14.7 = 0.544 +1 = 1.544

 788.19 x 1.544 = 1,216.96 CFM

 454 @ 7,000, 8 lbs = 1,419.80 CFM
 454 @ 8,000, 8 lbs = 1,621.20 CFM

I would try two 650 Demon carbs for blown applications.Originally posted by 70_"SuperNOVA"

750's sound like the winning application then! I kinda like the 750 demon blower carbs. Any experience with demon carbs? being that they lean more toward racing? This engine will get plenty of street time too! Thanks !Supernova!
