468 for a 383; good deal?
So I'm selling my 468 short block ($2000) due to lack of funds, and a guy calls that's interested. It comes into the conversation that he was running a 383 and is looking for more power, and I'm looking for a small block to be more economical. We discuss a possible trade, my short block for his short block, intake, and maybe more. But I'm starting to think a fair trade would be the 383, whatever else, and maybe $800. Now I know I could be coming off as being greedy, but this BBC of mine was being built for the track, no spared expenses and no shortcuts taken. I've got almost $3000 into it. And plus, I have the reciepts and stuff to back up the BBC as legit, I don't know anything about his motor. Any suggestions or thoughts?Last edited by trashburner; 10-31-2005 at 07:27 PM.

You guys just need to sit down and do an itemized comparison and barter from there.

Well I've sure gotten old too so don't worry about it! I've had two bypass surgeries, new knees, fought prostate, cancer and diabetes. I'm half blind, can't hear anything quieter than a jet engine,...
