your heads are big cc on the intake port you will have to run it pass the cam i would not run the hydraulic rollers are heavy the will be hard to keep them on the cam it hi rpm in the mud try some thing like 685 /685 269/279 @0.50 on 108 or 712/715 278/288 @0.50 on 108 if you run 4 1/2 crank and if you must run the hydraulic try a custom howards but i would not run the hydraulic roller at hi RPM or you will be sorry

the two are soild and the dura on any thing soild or hyd is going to run choppy the valve train noise will be less with hyd no running lash

they are rollers they are made to roll . hyd or soild with not the rigth spring pressure can make them junk and a lot of things like not washing the new roller out in thinner and blowing them out and setting them in clean oil before you stick them in

so what is the diferance. dose the solid build more power. I always thought the rollers would spin faster and smoother than the noisy solid. All the solids I ever heard were noisy like a diesel.joe bogger

the cam s that i give you are solid .soild rollers they have no parts in them like a hyd roller. solid are lighter and no valving in them which helps at hi rpm

Joe, here's an example of a cam that Pat is recommending....

a hydraulic roller with about the same timing will float the valves at 7,200.
here's one step milder...
