Here's an idea. How about using 0.080" x 4.440" copper gaskets, summit # SCE-013448, $119.50 for the pair and they're reuseable up to 5 times. Pat makes a good point about piston rock, depending of course, on piston to bore clearance......0.080" gaskets would put the squish at 0.054" which should work out about right with the large bore and piston rock if the clearance is loose. The thick gasket would also give you back some of the deck and make it easier for the intake manifold to match up. Wadda you guys think? Give 'em a good spray of Copper Kote on each side and run some Stop-Leak in the cooling system.
