Well there I was ready to start installing my crankshaft. Hmmm, I have gone from main bearing Bolts to studs. Can any one tell me what is the proper way to install these studs, I asume they need to be torqued in. How is this done.

Depends on the stud manufacturer and material. MOST say, lightly oiled and hand tight in the block, some want a minor torque like 5 or ten ft. lbs. But, then you get into the final torque with the cap installed and that will vary. Moly lube, ARP lube or oil. They all are torqued at different rates.. consult the stud manufacturer, or ARP has a good chart in their sales book. Maybe on line too.
