My 67 Camaro started life as a straight 6. When I bought it, a 396 from a 72 truck was sitting in it. On closer inspection the driver side header had been dimples quite severly around the steering colum to fit. Im debating selling the 396 for a 383 stroker or building up the 396....money is kind of a issue. I dont know what kind of headers they are, but they dont fit and i dont wanna run them when 2 of the pipes are almost closed. Anyone else run into this problem? Ideas? thanks in advance.
Stick with the big block, no replacement for displacement, and a big block will really set it off.

in Jegs . They are pricey though , around 400.00 bucks.but they are high quality pieces. A Big Block in a 67 Camaro is awesome. Everyone does smallblocks build a rat . Plus they don't give those stroker motor's away anymore :3dSMILE:
I really can't see a way to fit headers around the steering box, the block hugger headers look like the best bet, but still a long shot, were steering boxes for inline 6 cars diffrent from BB cars?
