11-24-2013 08:54 PM #1Trying to find my Pro Street 65 Mustang

Would love to find my 65 Mustang Pro Street, last I heard it was in the San Fernando Valley about 10 years ago. The car was a Chris Alston chassis with Strange struts, 9in with Strange guts, 4 link. The engine was a 352 inch 302 with the big Victor heads, a fabbed aluminum blower manifold with burst panel, a BDS 8.71 with Enderle bugcatcher. It had a McLeod bellhousing and clutch in front a Jeffco Planetary 4spd. The car was painted a bright metallic red and it had lexan windows, inside all Autometer gauges, on-board fire extinguisher. The entire chassis was powdercoated to match the paint. It was about 90% done when a divorce caused me to part with it. Now I find myself wishing I had it back...

I can imagine that if my 1st wife was "quite a piece" I might wish I had her back. Ahhh, but no.

Good luck with the search, Mark. I've heard plenty of stories of this kind of hunt eventually finding the game. Was it a notchback or a fastback?Nick

My Mustang was my one and only Pro Street build, after the ugly divorce I said to myself if I cant build one to top the last one, I wouldn't do another. Now Im knee deep into a hot rod again, but it will be more show and street cruising than the racing that the Mustang was built for...
