Looking for my 59
I had a dream about my grandpas 1959 Pontiac Catalina convertible last night and decided I should try to find it. Well I do not have alot of info but here is what I got. We are from Columbus OH , the car was bought by a guy named Francis Block around 1991-1993 who I also believe to be from OH. We had painted the car white but I believe the original color was a kind of brown/copper. I do remember most of the interior to be the same color but the seats were a blue plad. The last time I saw the car (the day it was sold) it still had the original 389 automatic drivetrain. The framing and all mechanical pieces of the top were still there but no actual top. I know I have not given alot of info but if you have any leads or may know Francis or where to find the car it would be greatly appriciated. I have wanted to drive this car since I was about five and it would be really cool if I could.Last edited by Gwyld714; 09-12-2005 at 02:14 PM.

Welcome to CHR. I think that you need to hook up your vacuum advance. At part throttle when cruising you have less air and fuel in each cylinder, and the air-fuel mixture is not as densely packed...
